Stairwell (up)

This was more of a job than I've indicated so far.  First I figured out where I wanted the stairway from the garage, where I could see all the joists.  Next I drilled holes in the 4 corners of the proposed stairwell, again, from below.  Then I was able to go upstairs and connect the dots, making sure the lines were straight and the stairwell was square to the outer wall and to itself.  I braced the structure before any cutting, using pieces of 2x4, 4x4, and (6) jack posts.  I was then able to cut along my lines with the Skilsaw, and finally cut through the floor joists with a sawzall.
