August 2008:  I've been wanting to do this for a long time - cover the earth berm with rocks.  Real rocks...manly man rocks!  Aside from looking cool, it will prevent the erosion of the berm. The rocks pictured are field stones from a farmer a few miles down the road.  I asked him a few years ago how much he would charge me for some of them, but he wouldn't hear of it and offered them to me for free.  Back on the 'Series 32' page, you can see that my nephews started the project, but really only scratched the surface.  After asking around a bit, I found a local guy (Milton Presler) who specializes in hauling rocks.  What you see below is 15 dump truck loads of field stones.  He didn't have time to spread them out right away, which was fine, because I wanted to rough in the bathroom (which will be discussed in a future series page).

October 2008:  Milton and I were finally able to find a time that it would work for both of us to get these rocks spread out on the earth berm.

Cost:  Rock loading, transport and dumping (15 dump truck loads) - $1100, Placing rocks on the earth berm (minus under the decks) - $1300
