Summer and Fall 2010:  Pic 1 shows the studwalls being finished up, including rough openings for windows that will overlook the forest in back of my house (more on the windows later).  Pics 2 & 3 show the first two trusses in place to go up.  Pics 4 & 5 show some of the methods I use to manage doing this stuff by myself...which I'm glad no one has to watch.

Cost:  For roofing truss lumber, shingles and wall sheeting:  maybe $650.00, tops.  The reason for the low cost is that I used scrap lumber for most of the wall sheeting, and picked up about 10 bundles of shingles on Craigslist for about 1/3 retail.

Pics 6 & 7 show the trusses in place and Pic 8 shows the ridge beam mounted and the rest of the rafters installed.
